Originals’ Spring/Summer 2008 collection is a unique selection of products and
stories that all Celebrate Originality. Founder, Adi Dassler, used an
open-minded approach to create specialized products for sportsmen and women of
all backgrounds and interests, covering diverse sporting disciplines. This
positive approach transcended sport through the use of the Trefoil logo, which

adidas Originals is proud to present adidas Grün, a collection that aims to better the environment by efficiently utilizing the natural resources of this world. With three guiding elements of “Made From”, “Recycled” and “Reground”, adidas Grün offers a range of products, including classic silhouettes like the Forum basketball sneaker and the ZX 500 runner, all made from recycled and natural materials.
Handbags for Feet
Handbags for Feet is a new
must-have collection for all style conscious females which offers a
comprehensive selection of footwear and apparel using graphics and materials
inspired by luxurious handbag design. These women’s-specific footwear
silhouettes come in elegant ballerina, sleek and classic models with stylish
apparel to match.
Original Games
In 2008, Beijing will host
the 29th Olympic Games. adidas
has been a part of the games and their stories since 1928. The Original Games
collection celebrates the greatest sporting event in the world and the most
special moments in Olympic history. With
country-relevant products, authentic stories and unique graphics this concept
presents the Original Games in unexpected and stylish ways.
Tournament Edition
Since 1949, adidas has had a solid connection to the sport of tennis and
some of its most colourful players such as Rod Laver, Stan Smith and Ilie
Nastase. For Spring/Summer 2008,
adidas Originals proudly presents the Tournament assortment which is inspired by
icons of tennis, and a style taken from the golden era of the sport. This court
collection reintroduces one-to-one replicas, and offers reinterpreted styles and
heritage-inspired models to create a portfolio of timeless, yet contemporary
products.
Sounds
of the City
Celebrating
the birthplace of influential musical genres, Sounds of the City features
collaborations with music industry icons, integrated in both footwear and
apparel, to create a unique collection with music as the inspiration.
Tuff Gong and the Marley family, Blue
Note, Motown, Jam Master Jay and Alligator Records make up the eclectic mix of
musical tastes and influences of this soulful collection.

The Missy Elliott collection stands for
positivity, empowerment, style, skills, friendship and above all, respect.
Inspired by urban fashion, the Rhythm line of the Respect M.E. collection
introduces VIP Hop. With all of the touches to guarantee backstage access, this
season’s collection features rich PU leather details, monogram prints and VIP
matte gold touches.
